‘Lemons’ is a summer anthem courtesy of Pollena. It’s a left-field, neo-soul tune that really lets her lean into some amazing melodies. She balances the silky harmonies of her jazzy keyboards with some groovy Latin rhythms that really support the optimism and hope that oozes from her voice. “I want to celebrate living a life that feels true to me and inspire others to do the same," she says. "It’s not easy when living in a society that’s trying to force us into certain roles that we may not fit. ‘Lemons’ is all about slowing down and connecting with what makes you happy.” This single is the first taster of Pollena’s debut EP which will drop later this year. -Dan Peeke.
